Scout Sunday, February 6, 2011, Troop 37 Centennial

Scouts from Troop 37 and Pack 130 were recognized in a special “Scout Sunday” Service by their Sponsoring Organization, Easley First Baptist Church. This year was special in that Troop 37 was celebrating 100 Years of Scouting. Troop 37 was chartered in 1911 as Troop 1, Easley. After the formation of the Blue Ridge Council, the troop number was changed to 37. Troop 37 was officially chartered October 2, 1930, by the Blue Ridge Council, B.S.A. Our troop is certainly one of the oldest troops in the entire upstate, forming the next year after Scouting was chartered in the USA in 1910.
