2010 Pack Meetings and Upcoming Events

• Saturday February 27, 2010 Clemson Popcorn Sale Sports Clinic.  We will have a fantastic day throwing the football and playing basketball with the student athletes. We will tour the stadium, and we’ll get to go see a baseball game.
• Tuesday, March 2^nd, 7:00 PM EFBC Gym, Upstairs.
• Thursday, March 4th 7:30 PM Pack Leader’s Planning Meeting, Scout Room, all current and new registered leaders need to attend this.
• Saturday March 13 (8:30 AM to ?) Pickens District Pinewood Derby will be held at St Andrews United Methodist (across from West End School).  Registration for Tiger and Wolfs begin at 8:30am. Here is the schedule. Each class will register 30 minutes prior to their race time. The 1st place winners of each category below will be eligible to race.

◦   9:00am – Tiger – Betsill

◦   9:30am – Wolf – Bostick

◦   10:00am – Bear – Shelp

◦   10:30am – Web I – Owen

◦   11:00am – Web II – Milks

◦   11:30 am – Open Class – Howerton

The cost will be $5.00 per car.  Only official BSA cars will be eligible to race.  BSA rules and regulations found in the Official Cub Scout Pinewood Derby Kits will be strictly enforced.  Please follow them or your car will not be able to be raced.  Axles cannot be altered or moved on the car.  Wheels can have the ridge smoothed but cannot be brought to a point.  Only graphite may be used as a lubricant.  Cars can’t be more than 5 ounces and longer than the car length that comes out of the kit. Remember that this should be fun for the Cubs.  Remember the Cub Scout motto, “Do your best.”

• Saturday, April 17 Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO), Webelos Leader Outdoor Training.  Cost is $15, Check in Time is 7:30 for both at Camp Old Indian.  See Sam Lawrence for forms
• Thursday April 22 (7:00 PM to 8:00 PM)  Pack Meeting EFBC Gym
• Friday Night, April 30^th: Historic Flag & Banner Camp-In at the SC State Museum (rescheduled from February 5^th).
• Thursday May 27 (7:00 PM to 8:00 PM)  Pack Meeting EFBC Gym

• August 2010: Cub Resident Camp at Camp Old Indian
